Sharon "Sherrie" Thrall has announced she is running for Plumas County Supervisor, District Three, the seat that will be vacated by Bill Dennison when he retires at the end of his term. Sherrie and her husband Lee Thrall are long time Chester residents. Some of the groups and service agencies on which Sherrie currently serves are:
  • Plumas County Commission on Aging - Chairman
  • Plumas County Planning Commission
  • Almanor Basin Watershed Advisory Committee - Chester Representative
  • Chester Public Utility District - Vice President
  • Almanor Basin Community Resource Center - Board of Directors
  • Plumas Rural Services, Inc. - Chairman, Board of Directors

Sherrie’s experience as a community advocate, small business owner, and as a Realty Specialist for the Air Force and the Army Corps of Engineers brings a unique viewpoint to the boards and groups she works with. " Working with Federal, State and local government agencies, developing consensus between disparate groups with differing agendas and running a business has prepared me to effectively represent District 3 at the County level."

Sherrie has assembled an election committee made up of volunteers from the business community, former supervisors and other community volunteers. "My committee is as diverse as our community, we have business owners, retired business professionals, folks who grew up here and are raising their families here, all facets of life in the basin and beyond are represented. It is wonderful to have the support of so many talented and dedicated people."

Sherrie and her committee have petitions for registered voters to sign expressing the voter’s support as well as "support cards". "The support cards are testimonials, for supporters to complete and sign allowing us to gather information and comments from the groups that support Sherrie in her bid for Supervisor", Traci Holt explained. "It’s also a way for us to build on the communication channel that Bill Dennison has opened and paved with his local email list.

Sherrie is committed to keeping that standard going forward via email as well as her website, sherriethrall.com." To sign a petition or a support card, or to get more information about Sherrie and her election bid, please contact her at 258-3665 or by email at sthrall@digitalpath.net
